Have you ever looked for wheelchair accessible restaurants before just to find out that it is not 100% accessible when you get there? Actually, this happens quite.. keep reading, we got REAL accessible restaurants for your next visit in Barcelona!

1. Mussol
If you are looking for traditional gastronomy, Mussol is a great option for catalan food, located in Avinguda Diagonal, 208, 08013 Barcelona.
The entrance is wide and there’s more than enough space for wheelchair users to move around. Tables are accessible and you can also find label signals everywhere.
Although it has two floors, it’s no problem to access the upper floor since it has an adapted elevator incl. sound and visual information and fully accessible toilet.
2. L’Escamarlà
Enjoy one of the best seafood restaurants: L’Escamarlà, located in Passeig Marítim del Bogatell, 40, 08005 Barcelona that besides being wheelchair-friendly, it offers you amazing views to the Mediterranean Sea!
The restaurant has only one floor without stairs or ramps. There’s enough space to move around and the restroom is adapted for wheelchair users.
3. El Nacional
El Nacional is located in a little alley right next to famous Passeig de Gràcia street ( Pg. de Gràcia, 24 Bis, 08007 Barcelona). You will be amazed when you get there for the first time because it’s stunning!
Furthermore, the space offers 2600 m2 in size with four different bars and four restaurants incl. different menus.
The entrance is flat and wide and the space is enormous so fitting between tables is not a problem at all, and you can even spin around. You might only need a little help with the heavy entrance doors.
Subsequently, there’s a ramp to the toilet with railings on both sides. Toilets are adapted with folding support bars, transfer space, footless sink, etc.
You can’t miss some drinks at this amazing place!
4. Restaurante Cadaqués Barcelona
Another accessible restaurant with mediterranean food is Restaurante Cadaqués Barcelona (Carrer de la Reina Cristina, 6, 08003 Barcelona).
Service dogs are allowed and there’s wheelchair accessible storage available as accessibility features.
The restaurant has a step-free entrance at ground level with a door width around 180 cm. Inside, the floor is smooth and the space is free of obstacles with enough turning space. The space between tables is good and the seating has easy access.
Finally, the restroom is wheelchair accessible as well: step free, enough turning space, toilet grab bars available and sink clearance.
5. El principal de Tragaluz
Also known as The Principal of L’Eixample, this restaurant is located in C/ de Provença, 286, 288, 08008 Barcelona.
With vegetarian, celiac and diabetic menus it’s a great alternative that is not only delicious in gastronomy, but it is also accessible!
From the entrance, the door is wide and automatic with enough space for a wheelchair. If you need an assistance dog, their entrance is completely allowed.
Secondly, from the entrance to the bar the space is quite accessible: it has enough space, without stairs and without any step obstacles.
Nevertheless, there are a few things that could be better. For example the bar height just because below there is no free space that allows the frontal approach of a person in a wheelchair which is why we listed this on the 5th place.
Other than that, it’s a must-visit restaurant in the city that you shouldn’t miss either!
